Euphoria (working title)

Euphoria is a 3rd person 3D puzzle adventure game in which the player follows the symbolic and thematic journey of a non-binary character in a world that isn’t designed for them.

Our main character navigates themself through an extremely binary world and realizes throughout the game that they don’t fit within the binary boxes of their society. Emotions such as (gender) dysphoria are strongly reflected within the gameplay, with the purpose of showing the player the possible experiences of a non-binary person.

About the subject :

In the past few years, it became ever more clear to us that, even in countries such as the Netherlands, transgender healthcare still has a lot of shortcomings and furthermore, we realized that there is a general lack of knowledge around this topic, especially with cisgender people (people that are not transgender).

We believe that media, such as film and games, play a crucial role in educating and informing the general public about certain topics, and noticed a lack of positive representation for transgender people in the media.

With our game, we hope to offer positive representation for transgender people, and to educate cisgender people about the topic to evoke a feeling of empathy within them.
